Inspired by Nature and Family

“the garden room” by Shumaker Curated is a celebration of nature, featuring an organic curation of furniture, fittings, textiles, and artwork. More than just a space, it is an immersive experience—an oasis for relaxation that emphasizes our essential connection to the natural world.

The inspiration for this room traces back to Suzanne’s childhood and the original garden room designed by her father. That space featured expansive windows that framed his beautiful, terraced rose garden.

Suzanne’s design serves as a homage to her father, reflecting the resilience, philanthropy, and integrity he exemplified. They both shared a core philosophy: “You can learn new things at any time in your life if you’re willing to be a beginner. Embrace your style and grace, and it will bring joy to you and those around you.” This sentiment captures the spirit of lifelong learning and authenticity that Suzanne strives to share through her work.
